All Change
There
have been some pretty major changes in my life recently.
1)
Nappies. It's not much fun teething you know. I have
had a nasty rash down below (ahem) for some time, so my parents
are trying something new. They are a new take on something
that Daddy used to wear when he was my age - cloth nappies.
These things have a name - Fuzzi
Bunz - and look not totally unlike the sort of thing Mr.
Michael Mouse Esq. used to wear back in the 1930s. They have
helped my rash and are very comfortable to wear.

the red nappy with Mickey's shorts. H'mm.

Our model Giulia is wearing a lovely Fuzzi Bunz nappy
in snowdrop. |
2)
Milky. Once
upon a time, milky came from Mamma. Now it comes from a bottle.
It's a bit of an acquired taste, but you get used to it. Secretly
Daddy likes it too!
Harriet Houdini or Edwina
Hillary?
I'm getting
pretty agile now. I'm not sure if I am an escapologist or
a mountain climber, but both seem lots of fun. Here's some
photographic evidence.

Phew...
Made it to the top of Mount Fluffipillo. Now where did
I leave my flag? |

Why My Parents Think It's
All Worthwhile
My parents
have managed to get a photograph of me smiling showing my
little white teeth!
|
Every
day I give Mamma and Daddy a moment to treasure so they
will forgive me for all the pooey nappies, posset and
crying.
Today
(8th July 2005) they caught that moment on camera.
I
think I excelled myself, don't you? |
I DO NOT HAVE AN ANGER
MANAGEMENT PROBLEM!!!!
Teething
is still causing me a lot of problems. The teeth growing out
of my gums hurt, as well as the ones underneath that will
be emerging next month. As you might imagine with these aching
teeth, drinking milky out of the bottle has become a tad uncomfortable.
Every bottle feed is now a battle of wills between me and
the respective on-duty parent. I rarely win.
My yelling
has become more speech-like too. Before, I would simply scream
'Waaaaaaaahhhhh!' at high volume whenever I felt the need.
Now, my parents are treated to a cavalcade of angry babbling.
Hearing 'Ma ma ma da da da da waaaahh!' at ear-splitting volume
was entertaining at first for my parents, but I think the
novelty has worn off now.
Daddy
will put a recording of this online when Mamma manages to
get me close enough to a microphone when I'm in a suitably
foul mood.
The Menu At Chez Giulia
Before
I started on solids, my parent tried some of the shop-made
baby foods that come in baby jars. To be frank, the majority
where absolutely awful (mentioning no names). Instead I have
been treated to home cooked vegetable and fruit purees, lovingly
cooked by my Mamma and Daddy. They think that my food is delicious;
for me the jury is still out.
My Nonno
Gary sent me a care package from Italy this month. Inside
were a large number of Italian-branded baby food jars (really
rather tasty!), plus several boxes of baby pastas and nappy
cream. Thank you!
Photos From July 2005
Small
problem, don't you know. My parents' digital camera is currently
under repair (nothing to do with me by the way) so there may
not be any more photos this month. Normal service will be
resumed next month.
