Mamma & Daddy
Here is a picture of my Mamma and Daddy.
|
This
photo was taken at the Lone
Pines Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane, Australia in
March 2004.
Why
is Mamma looking so anxious? Have a look at the evil
glint in the koala's eyes... Although the koala (called
Smithy) was well behaved for Daddy, this vicious beast
had just mauled Mamma when she tried to cuddle it!
Forget poisonous snakes, man-eating crocodiles and
nasty box jellyfish, slightly annoyed koalas are the
ones you should really be
wary of!

My Mamma, Cristina, was
born on 10 September 1976 in Palermo, Italy. Her parents were
called Gaspare (aka Gary) and Carmen. She was an only child
but she had a large number of cousins to play with. Mamma
is very good at languages. When she was little, she decided
that she wanted to live in the UK when she grew up. Mamma
wants me to learn both English and Italian so I can talk to
all my relatives in both England and Italy.
My Daddy, David, was born on 6 September 1970 in Basingstoke
in the UK. His parents were called John and Margaret. He has
one brother, Stephen, who was born in January 1974. Daddy
was very interested in science and dinosaurs when he was little,
and he studied geophysics at University and became a doctor.
Daddy wants me to be interested in dinosaurs too, but he'll
have to wait and see, won't he?
When I am born, Mamma and Daddy would have been married for
just over three and a half years. They are currently living
in Reading, UK.
Apparently I was conceived while Mamma and Daddy were on holiday
in Australia when they should have been admiring the kangaroos
and koalas. They took lots of photographs of Australia on
this trip - click here
to see them!
Just so they don't feel left out, I've allowed them to put
some of their baby photos on my website.
